Our Society is the oldest St Francis of Paola Society in the world, outside of Italy. The St Francis Society is a not for profit society that was established in honor of St Francis di Paola, the patron saint of Calabria Italy. St Francis was a hermit and started the Order of the Minims, which is a Franciscan order of Monks under the Roman Catholic Church. Our society takes its role of giving to charitable causes as a reflection of the actions of St Francis.
